Hi Folks,

Just a quick line to let tandem-fahren readers know the dates of the
Tandemania Gathering to be held at the Ironbridge YHA, Shropshire, England
are 26th - 29th July 2001. Full details can be viewed on our website
www.tandemania.com and click 'Gatherings'. It would be appreciated if you
could complete the registration form if you plan to attend. There are no
costs involved in any part of the Tandemania Gathering other than the
Celeidh and your accommodation. A welcome pack will be available from the
Coalport YHA next to the River Severn in Ironbridge over the weekend.

Tandemania - originally an event run by Swallow Tandems in the UK from 1993
to 1997 in Wales with numbers of around 400/500 people attending. This event
run by Tandemania (now a division of Dawes Cycles Ltd - UK since May 2000)
as an informal gathering of Tandem riders and will offer tandems for testing
for those without, rides on all days, a time trial with Bar B Q, Celeidh on
Saturday night and a Tandem Fun Day on the Sunday including grass track
racing. 

We are hoping for a good attendance. The Youth Hostel has many beds
available and a group membership is in action. There are of course many Bed
& Breakfast in the area as it is a World Heritage Site. A campsite is also
located nearby for those wishing to attend in caravans or tents.
